Naples Transportation & Tours (NT&T) is celebrating its 10th year of serving as the official spring training transportation partner of the Boston Red Sox.
“We’re honored to have been working with the Boston Red Sox since 2016,” says Randy Smith, NT&T CEO. “Building long-term relationships is what our business is all about. And working with the Red Sox has the added bonus of being part of something fun that the entire community gets excited about.”
What Vehicles are Used for Transporting the Red Sox?
The Red Sox started spring training with about 70 players. That includes their 40-man roster, as well as non-roster invitees and minor league prospects. By opening day of baseball season, they will trim the roster down to the standard 26 players.
“For transporting the players, we mostly use our motor coaches,” Randy explains. “However, with all of the airport transfers and other transportation needs to and from JetBlue Park, we’ll use nearly every kind of vehicle in our fleet. That includes SUVs, sedans, vans and mini-buses.”
The Boston Red Sox has called JetBlue Park at Fenway South its home for spring training since the park opened in 2012. The 11,000-capacity park has many features of Fenway Park in Boston, including the exact field dimensions and the iconic “Green Monster” in left field to help players prepare for conditions they’ll face during the regular season. It incorporates features to celebrate Red Sox history, including statues, retired numbers and a single red seat in the right-field bleachers representing Ted Williams’ longest home run at Fenway. Unlike many other spring training facilities, Fenway South includes practice fields and training facilities that are operated year-round.
“The celebration of Red Sox rich history combined with offering modern amenities creates a great experience for fans and non-fans alike,” Randy says. “We’re thrilled to welcome Red Sox spring training, as a business and as a community, each year.”
Red Sox spring training games began on February 21, 2025. The last game played in JetBlue Park this year was Sunday, March 23.
